Governor orders residents to Stay Home

Governor Jared Polis has ordered a statewide stay-at-home order for all ofColoradoas the coronavirus pandemic continues to get worse.  The new restrictions went into effect today.

The Governor said at a press conference that he is resorting to this "extreme measure" to insure that people stay at home whenever possible.

People can still perform essential tasks, such as getting food at the grocery store or visiting the doctor's office.  They can also exercise outdoors as long as they stay six feet away from the nearest person.  Governor Polis has also asked President Trump to declareColoradoa major disaster area due to the pandemic.  The state now has more than one-thousand confirmed COVID-19 cases, and 19 deaths.
