Sand & Sage Round-Up

The Sand & Sage Round-Up is on schedule for August 1-8, 2020. In the interest of public health, the fair has regretfully canceled the following events for the safety of all: concert, open classes, carnival, racing pigs, kids day games, and more. Those who attend the Round-Up are required to wear face coverings, practice 6 ft. social distancing, and be aware of capacity limits throughout the event. THE NEXT LEGAL LAW CLINIC THROUGH THE BACA COUNTY LIBRARY WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12TH FROM 2PM-5 PM. DESPITE THE COVID-19 CLOSURES OF LIBRARIES ACROSS COLORADO, ALL VIRTUAL PRO S-E CLINICS ARE BEING HELD AS SCHEDULED. NOW, INSTEAD OF CLINIC PATRONS COMING TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC LIBRARY, YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY STAFF WILL SCHEDULE ALL APPOINTMENTS. IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT TO PROVIDE A RELIABLE PHONE NUMBER, AND THE VOLUNTEER ATTORNEY WILL CALL THE CLINIC PATRON'S TELEPHONE DIRECTLY, DURING SCHEDULED CLINIC HOURS. Dr. Lee Norman Kansas

New data released on Sunday, July 26, shows that new coronavirus cases are leveling off slightly in Kansas. Dr. Norman says it is important to note that the data is only from a 7-day rolling average. He says it will take some serious dedication to get the curve to flatten and drop. Dr. Norman suspects the slight flattening could be from people getting serious about schools opening. Which is something, he says has to continue.
