Colorado’s Concern for Potential Child Abuse

There is some concern regarding a drop in calls to the Colorado child abuse hotline. El Paso County Human Services Information Officer Kristina Iodice says it's probably because children have fewer contacts with mandatory reporters like teachers and doctors. Iodice says child abuse isn't always obvious and encourages people to call the hotline if they see something which appears out of the ordinary. The number is 1-844-CO-4-KIDS.

Denver Parking App

Visitors to Denver won't have to rummage through their pockets for quarters or look for their credit card to feed the parking meter. Heather Burke with the Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says the city has launched its new PayByPhone App. Customers can then add money to extend time from their smartphone without having to return to the meter. Time limits will still be enforced. The Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is posting stickers on parking meters to let people know the app is available.

The diocese says Brungardt has denied the accusation, and he is fully cooperating with investigators. Brungardt has stepped aside from his duties until the matter has been resolved.
